The Erbil Provincial Police Directorate said that today, Thursday, October 29, 2026, it was informed that the body of a woman had been found in the village of "Sheikh Turab."
In a statement, Erbil police said that after receiving the report, Harir police teams immediately arrived at the scene and began a preliminary investigation. Following inquiries, police forces arrested four suspects identified as (H. S. A), (M. H. S), (M. H. S) and (A. R. K).
According to the statement, an investigative file has now been opened for the suspects, who are being dealt with in accordance with legal procedures. Erbil police stressed that investigations are ongoing to uncover further details of the incident and that "the law will prevail."
