Today, Saturday, October 31, 2026, Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani said Damascus is carefully examining the possibility of joining the Mecca defense pact.
Speaking during his participation in the annual Manama Dialogue forum in Bahrain’s capital, the Syrian foreign minister said: “There are ongoing discussions to assess Syria’s entry into the Mecca alliance, which was previously established by Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Turkey.”
