Spanish club Real Madrid has officially decided to extend the contract of its young Turkish player, Arda Guler, for a long term, as a step to preserve the player's abilities and reward his development with the club.
According to a report by the Spanish newspaper AS, Arda Guler has reached an agreement with Real Madrid to extend his contract until the year 2031. This agreement adds two years to the player's existing contract, which was due to expire in June 2029. Negotiations between both sides had begun last September, eventually reaching an agreement to improve the terms of the contract and increase the player's salary.
The player, aged 21 years, has managed to earn the full confidence of the club's coach, Jose Mourinho. Guler's ability to play in several different midfield positions and his attacking effectiveness in creating scoring chances and recording goals have made him a key part of the team's plans.
Arda Guler, who joined Real Madrid from Fenerbahce in the summer of 2023, has participated in 7 official matches this season, scoring one goal and creating 3 other goals. After a period in which he made fewer appearances, he has now returned to Mourinho's plans and is being given considerable playing time.
